My Work
select a section below
BOOKS
Books make up the largest section of my work. They range in size and scope from handmade items, to printed memory books, photography showcases, travel scrapbooks, and collaborations.
gRAPHIC DESIGN
Graphic Design shows the collateral damage of having a good eye for layout combined with a hobby of Photoshop. This category runs the gamut of one-off projects, with an emphasis on party invitations.
MIXED MEDIA
Mixed Media shows the roots of my artistic education. You can view my 2022 I Believe I Can Fly Moses Lake art show, and 2016 Paper and Shadow Seattle Chocolati show under this category.
costume
No compendium of my art projects would be complete without a category for costume, fabric, sewing, and my favorite – hats!
URBAN SKETCHing
Urban Sketching is not the discipline of the masterpiece. It is capturing the “moment” of the time and place where it was created. These are on location ink and watercolor journeys.
OTHER PROJECTS
Every portfolio needs a miscellaneous section. As I reviewed the many projects I’ve worked on, I realized I needed a category “that time I painted my luggage,” the art of hosting tea parties, zentangles, and a few other entertaining things.

About Me

I am a self-taught artist with a childhood full of many informal art lessons from my mother. I attended the University of Washington and earned a doctorate in Audiology (AuD) in 2006. I then moved to New Zealand and started my career there. After 5 years of overseas experience, I ended up back in Seattle working for UW Medicine based out of Harborview Medical Center.
My artistic works started with a love of handling paper and books. I also harbor a passion to document and enjoy photography, journaling, scrapbooking, and the like – especially if I am able to share these memories with others. My artistic mediums flipped into the digital domain when I moved overseas. My current works usually combine the two, resulting in digitally designed and printed hardcover books.
Major milestones have included my 2011 Doctor Who fan book, 2016 Mixed Media show, “Paper and Shadow,” and 2019 urban sketching from New Zealand.
When not doing ears or art, I enjoy music, travel, chocolate, and church. I am also a self-professed anglophile and foodie.
