BULLETIN BOARD PROJECT

My love of collage and texture naturally extends to bulletin board displays. As you can see, they become quite elaborate. They reflect my philosophy of good art – that you can keep looking at it over and over again and not get tired of it. The display grows and morphs over time like a living piece of art that reflects in still my life on the move.

I had let my board grow for 2 years before this project. In a 2017 graphic design study / analytic effort, I mapped out my bulletin board according to category or theme. This exercise was an interesting way to see what such collected items said about me. The categories ended up being: Art, Cards & Notes, Church, Doctor Who, England, Food, Harry Potter, Hobbit/LotR, International “Other,” New Zealand, Seattle, Tickets, and Misc.
