This book comes from a special place as it save my sanity during a particularly long time between jobs. It is also the largest book that I have created, consisting of over 80, 12×24″ spreads (think coffee table book). Each spread covers a Doctor Who story drawing on content from TV episodes, novels, audiobooks, or purely fictional tales from my head. The book is chronological (and I use that term loosely with The Doctor) starting at the 2005 re-launch with Christopher Eccleston, journeying through the David Tennant years, and ending one season shy of Matt Smith’s leaving. Only a sample of the book is represented in this gallery.
Another reason this book is special is that there is only one copy – personally created and printed for me. This is partly to respect the copyright of the many piece of art, photography, writing, and fan art that are housed within. And finally, yes, that is David Tennant’s signature on the first page. I had the opportunity to obtain this signature at the annual Seattle Emerald City Comic Con – March 2018 .
