Once I started traveling between the USA and NZ with two generic black rolling suitcases, it became clear that marking or painting them could be advantageous.

I made my own template, put down a primer, and then painted a colored coat on top.
The font for “Travel” is the same used for the Tintin books.
The paint has held up well – over a dozen overseas trips and a decade later the paint is still intact and has not chipped, faded, or peeled away
