Steamposium is a Seattle, WA, gathering of all things Steampunk. It’s a weekend, “con,” where like-minded folks dress up, go to classes, walk a showroom floor full of vendors and artists, and can even attend a tea party and fashion show (among other things).
My friend Melina is credited for introducing me to Steamposium.

Unfortunately, the 2018 Steamposium was cancelled, so I wore the costume for Halloween instead. It did win the women’s section of a large Halloween party costume contest!
You will note the jacket is used in both 2017 and 2018, but the hats and skirts are different. Below is a little bit behind the process of altering the jacket. The amount of hand sewing involved was intense.

Of course with Halloween 2020 comes the addition of a FACE MASK to my much loved Steampunk outfit. Enjoy -mq
